SEASONAL LEADERSHIP

2025 Seasonal leadership positions are open! Seasonal crew member positions will open in December. Youth member positions open in January.
YOUTH CORPS
Through our Youth Programs, RMYC provides leadership and hands-on service experience for youth ages 11-18. Participants provide service to communities including beautifying, weeding, trail work, restoration, gardening, barbed wire fence maintenance, and other conservation-based projects in 10 counties in beautiful Northwest Colorado each year. RMYC offers a diverse set of skills training opportunities including trail work, environmental restoration, and wildlife habitat management. Participation involves hard work in tough conditions but makes for amazing memories and experiences.
As a Youth Corps Leader, you will lead crews of 10 young people on two or four-week sessions. You will provide a safe, yet adventurous space for youth to work hard, grow personally and professionally, and develop strong bonds with their crew. We offer three different crew types: Service Learning Crew(11-13), and the Youth Corps (ages 14-18) which are broken into our youth conservation crew and ladies youth conservation crew. Service Learning Crew offers two-week sessions as a day program and two nights of camping. The Youth Conservation Crew and Ladies Youth Crew have two or four-week sessions where you are together camping, working, and recreating 24/7 during the sessions. Youth Crew Leaders are supported by their Field Coordinator. The Field Coordinator provides leadership and support for 4-5 crews operating on a 24/7 model and day crews. CONSERVATION CORPS
Since 2000, this cornerstone program of Rocky Mountain Youth Corps has served up to 150 young people ages 18-25+ each year through environmental conservation projects and education. RMYC offers a diverse set of hard skills training opportunities including trail work, fuel reductions, environmental restoration, recreation management, historic preservation, wildlife habitat management, and invasive species management.

Being part of an RMYC crew involves spending a season living and working with a team of 8-10 people and completing meaningful conservation projects throughout northwest Colorado and Wyoming. Corps members live and work together in a camping environment, completing priority projects during the week, and exploring the beautiful outdoor spaces of the Rocky Mountains on the weekends. Participation involves hard work in tough conditions, but makes for amazing memories and experiences.
